Our Shag Performance Troupe: Shag Klub Berlin

Are you ready for the most energetic and exciting Performance Troupe of Berlin? 😊 Let’s jump in a time machine and go back to 1938-1940… the peak of Collegiate Shag and St. Louis Shag!!!

This project is made for all shag artists out there and directed by Catarina Pinto and James Farrell from Swing Patrol Berlin. It was designed carefully with a specific detailed choreography for partner shag dancers and its goal is to perform on the stages of Berlin or International Shag Festivals. This year 2019 we have 3 different projects in the following dates:

•  1st Choreography 2019: Feb – April
•  2nd Choreography 2019: June - August
  
•  3rd Choreography 2019: Oct - Dec  -->  Audition for this choreo: 13.10.2019

We are about to start the 3rd round of 2019, so save the date in your calendar 13.10.2019 and make the registration asap! It is a project for a couple of months, so we will be ready to perform in the end of each project (the performance dates are not yet fixed). We will be maximum 7 couples, so probably we will need to make auditions on the first day of each project. It is paid monthly 65,00 Euros and each session is 2 hours (Collegiate Shag + St Louis Shag) every Sunday at 18.00 pm in Zack - Revalerstrasse 99. The song, choreography and outfits are decided together by the teachers for everything making sense and matching with each other.

Requirements: It is a Performance Troupe so you need to have a high level of dancing in both shags: Collegiate and St Louis. You are a shag addicted and have participated in several shag festivals. If you have already done shag performances and competitions this is the right place for you. For Collegiate Shag is mandatory advanced level and for St. Louis Shag intermediate level is good.

Not yet there: If you would like to take part of this project and have not so many shag skills yet, we recommend you to be part of Shag Klub regular classes every Wednesday from 18:30 Uhr to 21:30, depends of your level.

Cancelling: We will be happy to have you in the team and in case if something happens, while this project is going on, you are allowed to cancel with some conditions. Every time someone gives up, it can change all the shapes of the choreography, so please make sure you will find someone to replace you and be willing to train the choreography until you know, to be in the same page as the other dancers of the team. If so, we can continue our project in a team work, without all the team be stressed, mainly your dancing partner. So please take this into consideration. Thank you.
